Hi, I am don and in today’s article we’ll be discussing main reason for having green poop and how to avoid it. So, what's the deal with green poop? Is it something to be concerned about? or No biggie.  your poop actually says a lot about your health and that means it's important to pay attention to things like form, frequency, odor and yep, color. But before you panic No, this green poop may actually signal that you're eating lots of leafy greens and chlorophyll rich foods, which is a good thing. On the flip side, though green poop can also mean that your digestion can use some major help. So, if you are downing the green foods or taking iron supplements, green poop can signal that food is just moving too fast through your digestive tract, and this could set you up for malabsorption.

The liver produces bile.

So, let's break it all down. When everything is working properly. The liver produces bile which is a light green fluid that's stored in the gallbladder. When you eat a meal that contains adequate fat, The gallbladder which secretes bile which helps in breaking down those fatty acids. Bile also signals the pancreas to create their digestive enzymes to further break down the food we eat each day. as your food continues to digest, bacteria and enzymes in the large intestines, turns the bile brown, the color of normal poop, but sometimes these processes move too fast. And this can be caused by an imbalance of good gut bacteria, stress, over eating, malabsorption and even chronic issues like Crohn's disease or hyperthyroidism. When that happens, bile isn't broken down properly and you end up with green poo poo. So, to get back on track, you need to support your liver, gallbladder and overall digestion. Here's some easy ways to do that.

stop snacking

The first one is to stop snacking. Give your digestive organs a break each day and abstain from eating for several hours between each meal. Now the easiest way to do this is to practice 301 that means three meals a day, nothing in between one day at a time. This will allow your gallbladder to fully release bile during mealtimes instead of just sputtering bile all throughout the day as you're grazing

eat sour foods

the second thing to do is eat sour foods. sour foods stimulate your gallbladder and digestion. So, with each meal, you want a little bit of some fermented food, things like kimchi, sauerkraut, pickles, this is going to help you digest your food better and slow things down.

include fat in meal.

The third thing you should do is to include more fat in each meal. If you think about it, our brains, our cell membranes, and our tissues all need fat, and so do our gallbladders. In fact, according to some sources, we are more susceptible to gall stones if we follow a strict low-fat diet so shoot for at least one serving of fat with each meal to keep your digestion humming.

try special supplement.

four try special supplements if you need more support, you can use digestive aids like Swedish bitters, hydrochloric acid capsules or papaya enzymes. Great liver Boosting Foods include dandelion root, holy basil and beets.

support healthy gut flora.

five support healthy gut flora. you want to boost the good bugs in your gut. These friendly guys can help heal your green poop. So, always look for probiotics, with high numbers of active and alive bacteria. If you're still struggling with green poop after making these lifestyle changes, it's time to go see a doctor they can perform a stool test and look at other digestive markers and provide you a roadmap to recovery.
