Bananas contained a natural source of fiber, minerals such as copper, manganese and potassium, plus vitamin B6, biotin, and vitamin C. Potassium keeps your dog's bones strong with blood vessels supple and healthy, while other compounds benefit a stronger immune system with regular bowel movements. Bananas are good for improving your dog's bowel movement and protecting their stomach from ulcers, acid secretion and gastritis. Bananas are also low in sodium and fat while being high in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and this blend helps to boost your dog's immune system while giving a lift to your dog's energy levels too. Bananas also benefit your dog's skin and raw bananas are best and you can use them as treats, but not too many, as bananas are sweet and high in sugar, so don't feed every day. The best way of giving your dog bananas is by removing the skin and cutting the fruit into bite-sized chunks. You can also mash the bananas mix into meals. It’s best not to give the whole banana to your dog due to its high sugar and potassium levels plus the more you give the harder it is to digest.

So, for small and medium dogs, feed a few small pieces each week and for large dogs, one whole banana per week is fine and divided into small treats or added to food. And make sure the banana is nice and ripe for better nutrient absorption and a sweeter taste a dog like.

With this in mind here's a list of the most highly nutritional foods your dog will also benefit from: Apples, red blue and purple berries, most citrus, apricots, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, nectarines, grapefruit, oranges, kiwi, pears, pineapple, cantaloupe, mango, and mulberries.

It's known that by far the most important thing that impacts your dog's health is what they eat and that 9 out of 10 diseases in dogs is due to poor diet. It's also known that 96% of dogs eat a kibble diet. If your dog eats a kibble diet, they’ll be suffering low grade inflammation which leads to health issues such as dysbiosis or leaky gut, diarrhoea, allergies, arthritis, ear infections, UTI's, digestive problems, skin and coat problems and hot spots. And diet is key to fixing and preventing nearly all health in dogs. Quality nutrition is the foundation of true health and wellbeing for our dogs. The better the quality of nutrition you feed your dog the healthier they'll be. You can't rely on kibble to give your dog everything they need nutritionally while many fruits like bananas and various vegetables offer much nutritional benefit to our dogs.
